What documentation your shipment needs

Pick product and destination: the list adjusts itself and points you, with its date, to the regulation that applies to that specific shipment.

  1. Proforma InvoiceOpens the deal and fixes product, quantity, Incoterm and terms. It is the first contractual document.
  2. Commercial InvoiceThe definitive commercial document of the shipment.
  3. Packing ListPackage, weight and batch detail. Batch numbers must match the CoA and the Transfer Certificate.
  4. Bill of LadingTransport document issued by the carrier.
  5. Certificate of OriginEnables the tariff preference of the applicable trade agreement.
  6. SENASA phytosanitary certificateMandatory for fresh plant products. This is where the additional declaration goes when the destination requires it.
  7. Operator organic certificateOf the producer and the exporter, with scope and validity checked.
  8. Transfer CertificateIssued per batch. It is the document that breaks most often in practice and the one the buyer's certifier scrutinises most.
  9. Batch CoAFrom an accredited laboratory, with the analytical method declared, issued before the vessel sails.
  10. NOPICNOP Import Certificate for organic goods bound for the United States.

Current regulation applicable to your order

Five rules and one case-by-case check, each with the date it bites. An application date is the difference between shipping and not shipping.

  • Fresh ginger and turmeric to the EUEnforcement from 15/10/2026

    Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/826

    Requires an additional declaration on the phytosanitary certificate. For Peru the realistic route is a registered, supervised production site, with PCR sampling before export and demonstrable traceability.

  • Peruvian transitional protocolTransitional measures until 31/08/2026

    RD D000026-2026-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DSV (Peru)

    This is the window under which fresh cargo ships today. Before committing a season we verify the site is on the SENASA list, we do not assume it.

  • All organic goods to the EUFull compliance since 01/01/2025

    Regulation (EU) 2018/848 and Delegated Reg. (EU) 2021/2306

    e-COI in TRACES NT and a Transfer Certificate issued batch by batch. The control body must be recognised for Peru.

  • All organic goods to the USRequired since 19/03/2024

    USDA NOP, Strengthening Organic Enforcement rule

    NOPIC issued in USDA INTEGRITY before shipment. Without it, organic cargo does not enter as organic.

  • Contaminants, all EU destinationsIn force

    Regulation (EU) 2023/915

    Lead, cadmium, aflatoxins and ochratoxin are measured by category. The same value that passes as a dried product can fail as fresh: the category is fixed before the analysis is ordered.

  • Novel food in the EUCase-by-case check

    Novel food framework

    Sacha inchi oil has been authorised since 2013. The roasted seed has an open dossier. Maca extracts face friction, while traditional powder and gelatinised maca do not.
